Harmony Headlands State Park

Coastal hiking trail at Harmony Headlands State Park on the Central Coast of California.

Just south of Harmony, the 784-acre Harmony Headlands State Park winds out to coastal bluffs with inspiring sea views. Follow the Headlands Trail for 1.5 miles through a gentle valley, descending past a ravine that's alive with croaking frogs and overhung by mossy trees. Beyond, the dirt trail snakes alongside golden bluffs with endless views of foaming ocean. Do it as an out-and-back trail (3 miles) or continue to trail's end (Alapay Way, total 2 miles), where you'll need a ride back to town.
