The tallest mountain on Pulau Langkawi (881m) can be reached by a snaking, paved road through the jungle. It’s a spectacular drive to the top with views across the island and over to Thailand from a lookout point and a small teahouse (assuming there’s no fog). In the evening there’s a good chance of spotting great hornbills near the road.
