Grand Prix du Canada

Canada’s only Grand Prix race remains one of the most popular motorsport events in the world, selling out and packing Montréal’s hotels in early June. It has been held on Île Notre-Dame since 1978, though it went on hiatus in 2009 due to a dispute between the city and Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone. Be sure to reserve your tickets early. Ticket-holders have access to a beer-fueled Beach Zone, complete with DJs, and a Family Zone decked out with games.
