At Glenturret – Scotland's oldest working distillery, in operation since at least 1763 – the better-than-average, one-hour tour is strong on how the different flavors are created during the making of its single malt whisky. Two tiny drams are included in the standard tour; more expensive tours offer more detailed tasting sessions. Look out for Glen and Turret, the distillery cats.
The distillery is 1 mile north of Crieff.
