Glendurgan was established by Alfred Fox in the 1820s to show off the weird and wonderful plants brought back from the far corners of the empire, from Himalayan rhododendrons to Canadian maples and New Zealand tree ferns. Tumbling down a stunning subtropical valley, the garden offers breathtaking views of the Helford and leads to a secluded beach near Durgan village. Glendurgan is 7 miles southwest of Falmouth.
