Elephant Butte Lake State Park

Just 5 miles north of T or C, New Mexico's largest artificial lake (60 sq miles) is much loved by local anglers, waterskiers and windsurfers. The marina rents tackle and boats (for fishing, pontoon and skiing). Try Fishing Adventures to make sure you take home your fill of striped bass. There are tent/RV campsites ($10/14) here.
