El Miaara Jewish Cemetery

Burial grounds in Morocco are typically closed to non-Muslim visitors, but this sprawling walled Jewish cemetery of whitewashed tombs admits all who wish to pay their respects. It dates from the 12th century and is still in use. It's well maintained by Marrakesh's small Jewish community – you'll see rocks of remembrance on top of some of the tombs.
