Downtown's '60s-era concert hall was home to the LA Philharmonic (until it moved to the acoustically superior Walt Disney Concert Hall) and frequent venue for the Academy Awards ceremony (until it moved to the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood). These days, the 3200-capacity venue is mostly used by the LA Opera and touring companies. Try to reserve seats on the upper floors, which offer the best sound.
