Denshōen is a restored mid-18th century magari-ya, a regional style of farmhouse notable for its attached stable (rare in Japan). There is also a room dedicated to the local horse deity, Oshira-sama, and some displays on local folkways with limited English explanations.
Denshōen is at the eastern end of Tōno-Tōwa Cycling Road, 9km from Tōno Station. Buses run here 7 times a day (¥290; 15 minutes).
