At the heart of Hermigua's original village, just off Plaza Victoriano Darias Montesinos, this 16th-century church and monastery contains an intricately carved Mudéjar ceiling and is topped by a stone bell tower.

The monastery passed into private hands in the early 19th century and felt into abandon until the local population took action in the 1940s.
