Balmy days are for pondside picnics and rainy ones for fireside tastings of old-vine zinfandel and mourvèdre inside an 1850s farmhouse. This large-scale, family-owned winery is forward-thinking, with solar panels on the roof and sheep in the vineyards, but also a sense of history: visit their California Mission Museum, featuring 1939 miniature replicas of California's original 21 Spanish Colonial missions.
