The last Dominican convent to be founded in Mallorca, Claustre de Sant Domingo is notable for its baroque architecture. Attached to the 17th-century convent-church of the same name, it was built in 1730, used as a prison in the Spanish Civil War, and is now a cultural and arts centre, hosting musical and dramatic performances, art exhibitions and the like.
