City God Temple

Originally raised in the Qing dynasty, this Taoist delight is all you'd hope for in a fanciful Chinese temple, complete with ornate roof embellishments, ancient plaques and an atmospheric interior, plus a couple of stone memorial steles in the courtyard.

Locals believe that the gods here are particularly responsive to prayers and it's the main site of the Welcoming the City God festival.
