Captain Penniman House

Near Fort Hill sits the striking Captain Penniman House, an 1868 sea captain’s house topped with mansard roof and an octagonal cupola overlooking both bay and sea. Ask at the Salt Pond Visitor Center about access, as the NPS arranges open days from late spring through fall. Days and times vary quite a bit, so best to check online before visiting.
