The lovable cabildo (municipal building), built in the Spanish Moorish style in the 1940s, is famous for its clock tower, where a life-size figure of San Francisco Solano emerges at noon to deliver a benediction. Be sure to arrive early to see it; the clock is erratic. Fun fact: the inner mechanics of the clock weigh over 1800kg!
