Housed in a striking folly behind Summerleaze beach, the modern, bright, engaging displays here take in shipwrecks, life-saving and Bude's story as a holiday resort.
Bude Castle was built by local inventor Sir Goldsworthy Gurney, whose creations included theatrical limelight and steam carriages. There's a cafe on the top floor.
