Bound Together

Since 1976 this volunteer-run, nonprofit anarchist bookstore has kept free thinkers supplied with organic-permaculture manuals, social history and radical comics, all while coordinating the annual spring Anarchist Book Fair (http://bayareaanarchistbookfair.com), running the Prisoners' Literature Project and retouching the Anarchists of the Americas storefront mural – makes us tools of the state look like slackers. Hours are impressively regular, but call ahead to check.
