Big Red

On the edge of the Simpson Desert, about 35km west of Birdsville, Big Red is a photogenic 30m-high sand dune that offers a big challenge for 4WDers. It's the closest large sand dune to town, and a taste of what lies ahead if you're heading out into the Simpson. Come for sunset.
