Housed in an imposing colonial-era building, the state museum has a large medieval sculpture collection and upper floors devoted to informative tribal-culture displays. In the Village Life of Assam section, you can walk through reconstructed tribal homes that give a glimpse of everyday rural life. It’s worth a visit.
