Alexandria Zoological Park

This 33-acre zoo is surprisingly comprehensive and multilayered (a little like Alexandria itself). There are Asian, African and Australian continental experiences, as well as a very well put together Louisiana marsh environment. The zoo participates in Species Survival Plan programs and hosts some genuinely very rare species, including a Malayan tiger and some red wolves. Kids three and under are free.
