Casa de Cultura Blanca Aráuz

This crumbling colonial-style building was the former home of local girl Blanca Aráuz, who went on to become Mrs Augusto César Sandino, wife of Nicaragua's independence hero. It was here on May 18, 1927 that the general and his bride celebrated tying the knot. There are various photographs of the pair on display, as well a display of masks and Marxist-Leninist literature.
