Today we will leave Gobi already and be entered to mountain and steppe zone. DAY 9 TSENKHER HOT SPRING | MEALS: B/L/D: Travel to Tsenkher hot spring. On the way we will hike for 2-3hours to Tuvkhun monastery. Continue travel to Tsenkher hot spring. Enjoy taking a hot spring bath.DAY 10 KHARAKHORUM | MEALS: B/L/D: Travel for 110kms to Kharakhorum. Kharakhorum was once the ancient capital of Mongolia. Visit Kharakhorum historical museum and Erdenezuu monastery. Then we will visit a local cooperative to attend a workshop for making small felt items. DAY 11 NOMAD COMMUNITY | MEALS: B/L/D: Travel to Gurvanbulag county in Bulgan province for 100kms. Afternoon followed by a brief instruction you will enjoy horseback riding for an hour. DAY 12 LEARNING HORSE LOVED CULTURE | MEALS:B/L/D:Morning we will visit a nomad family, learn more about traditional lifestyle. Activities include milking animals, processing dairy products, making traditional food. Afternoon hike to neighbouring mountain and sand dunes for 7-8kms. DAY 13 KHUSTAI NATIONAL PARK | MEALS: B/L/D: Travel to Khustai National Park for 200kms. After lunch, explore the park to see the Takhi horses in the wilderness. Continue travel to Ger camp for 45kms. DAY 14 TERELJ NATIONAL PARK | MEALS: B/L/D: Travel to Terelj national park 140kms via outskirt of Ulaanbaatar city. On the way we will visit to giant statue of “Chinggis Khaan”. Six-Day Camel Festival and Events from Ulaanbaatar

Day 1/ Mar 04 (Sun). UlaanbaatarUpon arrival in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to a hotel. Optional full and half day tours are available.Day 2/ Mar 05 (Mon). South GobiOur guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and drive to Umnugobi province, a semi-arid desert zone in the south-Gobi and southernmost province of Mongolia. Check in to your Guest house.  Visit a nomadic camel breeding family and experience the hospitality of Mongolian nomads. Then drive to the world-famous Flaming Cliffs and Bayanzag, rich with the saxaul trees of the Gobi. Explore the site of the first paleontological discoveries in Mongolia by following the footsteps of Roy Chapman Andrews (January 26, 1884 – March 11, 1960), an American explorer, adventurer and naturalist. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the local Guest house ( L/D).Day 3/ Mar 06 (Tue).Camel festivalAfter breakfast we drive to Bulgan soum and watch the camel festival opening ceremony. The opening ceremony starts with the Camel Parade which includes every camel at the festival. Tourists are able to participate in the camel Parade. Meanwhile the opening ceremony, the competition begins for the “The Most Beautiful Couple on Camels”. Also Mongolian traditional game “Shagain Kharvaa” bone ankle flicking game starts. Then watch Gala concert by Altai Snowcock environmental students club. Precompetitions for the camel Polo Trophy of “Camel Polo-2017”. Drive back and stay overnight at the local Guest house (B/L/D).Day 4/ Mar 07 (Wed). Camel RacingThe competition begins with the race of adult camels. It is followed by the two-year-old camels’ race. It is possible to place a bet and back the camel of your liking. The camels will be judged on their speed during 12km and 15km races. The first three camels to cross the finishing line fastest in each age category are awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals. Enjoy lunch in Bulgan soum. In the afternoon, the most anticipated competition begins. This competition is the “Camel Relay.” It consists of catching, taming, training and finally loading a camel with an actual Ger. There are several teams of 5 members.  Each member of the team performs a different task. The closing ceremony takes place later in the afternoon, where the winners are presented with trophies. Dinner and overnight stay at the local Guest house (B/L/D).Day 5/ Mar 08 (Thu). UlaanbaatarAfter an early breakfast, drive to Ulaanbaatar with lunch on the way.
