Part of the Al Bass archaeological site, this well-preserved Roman hippodrome was built in the 2nd century AD and once held more than 20,000 spectators. A section of seating is well conserved; imagine taking your place up there and watching your chariot come in at 20 to 1. Near it are the remains of a Crusader church, built around the base of a column where Christ was believed to have sat.
