Overview

Meet your guide in the hotel lobby at 9:00 AM and head to Yuyuan Garden. This peaceful Ming Dynasty garden features ponds, rockeries, pavilions, bridges, and traditional white walls. Next, wander through nearby Yuyuan Bazaar, a lively maze of shops, lanterns, souvenirs, and food stalls where you can sample local snacks. Then step into a studio in a century-old Shanghai lilong for a calligraphy and seal-carving workshop. With guidance from a local master, practice brush techniques, carve a personalized seal, and stamp your finished work. End the day with a stroll along the Bund, where historic buildings meet Shanghai’s bright riverside skyline. Your guide will return you to the hotel at around 5:00 PM.
