Overview

After some time in the city, it’s time to head into the mountains and begin the nature-entrenched stretch of your Vietnam trip. Enjoy breakfast at your Saigon hotel before checking out and meeting your driver for a 20-minute transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport. You’ll fly for about an hour and a half to Liên Khương Airport (DLI): the gateway to Đà Lạt's cool highlands and breathtaking landscapes. Upon arrival, meet your new driver, and marvel at the change in scenery during a 40-minute transfer to your hotel. This afternoon and evening, you’ll have free time to unwind and enjoy the crisp mountain air, explore Đà Lạt's charming streets, and sip a cup of local coffee as you breathe in your new surroundings. Tomorrow, you’ll embark on the Tà Năng trek — one of Vietnam’s most stunning trails. So, take today to get ready for an unforgettable journey through rolling hills, lush forests, and star-lit skies — all of which will greet you within the next 24 hours. (Breakfast)

Highlights

Đà Lạt

Known as the "City of Eternal Spring," Đà Lạt is a charming hill town nestled in Vietnam's Central Highlands. Known for its cool climate, lush pine forests, and stunning landscapes, Đà Lạt offers a refreshing escape from the tropical heat of the lowlands. As you enjoy your free time here today, take note of Đà Lạt's French colonial heritage, which materializes in quaint villas and the beautiful Đà Lạt Cathedral. Đà Lạt is also famous for its vibrant flower gardens, coffee plantations, and local markets filled with fresh produce, though many visitors flock to the area for natural attractions, such as the gorgeous Xuan Huong Lake, cascading Datanla Waterfall, and colorful Valley of Love.

Vietnamese Coffee (optional)

Much of today is yours for the taking, so if you're feeling low on energy, why not drink in Vietnamese culture by visiting a cool and cozy coffee shop? With an abundance of traditional Vietnamese cafes, Đà Lạt is the perfect place to try the country’s strong style of coffee, which is brewed slowly in a phin — metal cup — and often mixed with sweetened condensed milk.
