Torres del Paine and Miloden Cave
Overview
Kick off your time in Chilean Patagonia by visiting the region’s crown jewel. This morning, you’ll embark on a full-day guided tour of Torres del Paine and Miloden Cave. During this once-in-a-lifetime trip, your expert local guide will pick you up for the 45-minute journey from Puerto Natales to Villa Cerro Castillo. Along the way, you’ll gape at the diverse and daring landscapes and, if the weather is nice, spot condors soaring through the sky. You’ll make your first stop at the Sarmiento Lake viewpoint, which offers great views of the Paine mountain range and the lake, before continuing to the Laguna Amarga viewpoint — home to flocks of flamingos. After this scenic journey, you’ll head, at last, to the entrance of Torres del Paine National Park, where you’ll visit viewpoints at Nordenskjöld, Pehoé and Grey lakes, the Salto Grande waterfall, and the Paine River. At Grey Lake, you’ll have some free time if you want to grab lunch and explore at leisure. In the afternoon, the views continue with stops at the Grey viewpoint, where you’ll admire the mountains, Lake Toro, and Grey Glacier. To wrap up this awe-inspiring day, you’ll visit Milodon Cave Natural Monument: a site of historical and archaeological interest. Your guide will then drop you back off in Puerto Natales, leaving you with a free evening to reflect on your one-of-a-kind experience in Chile’s Magallanes region. (Snacks on tour: water, cereal bar, chocolate, salty cookies)
