Castello di San Terenzo

Golfo dei Poeti

Strategic fortifications date back at least to the 12th century on this hilltop perch overlooking the bay. As part of La Spezia's coastal defense system in the Middle Ages, it has undergone a few changes over the years, with the oldest part of the castle dating from the 14th century. An overlook provides sweeping views over the shoreline. You can also catch occasional art exhibitions here.
