Sankt Olof Kyrka

Åland Archipelago

By some accounts, Sankt Olof Kyrka is the oldest church in Finland, existing (in some form) on this site since the beginning of the 13th century. Some of the original frescos depicting the story of the Prodigal Son are still visible in the tower arch. Don't miss the limestone sculptures and baptismal font, which date from the 1250s.
