Cockerel

Morón is famous for its emblematic cockerel, which stands guard on a roundabout opposite the Hotel Morón on the southern edge of town. It's named after a 'cocky' and abusive 16th-century official who got his just desserts at the hands of locals and was driven out of town. The cock crows (electronically) at 6am every morning.
