About the author
I used to read the almanac for hours—for fun—as a kid in the Washington, DC suburbs. Little did I know that my nerdish curiosity for the world would lead me to a career where I’d experience 65+ countries and all seven continents. There’s always more to explore, but I keep returning to London (my favorite city), South Africa (my favorite country) and idyllic archipelago nations such as The Maldives and The Seychelles. Will I ever tire of serial globetrotting? Doubtful…my restless inner child won’t seem to let me.
