I love heading to off-beat destinations and small towns, the kind of places that make your friends say, "Huh, there?" I believe you can find good food and good people in almost any place, if you know where to look. I spent most of my life writing about sports, but find food and aviation much more interesting these days. I'm originally from Philadelphia but have lived in New York City and in the foothills of the Adirondacks.
