About Rooksana
A Paris-based Londoner with French and Mauritian parents who hardly ever sat still, my mixed heritage (and my parents' itchy feet) meant that I started to travel as young as they could get a baby on a plane back in the early eighties. And, exploration being as much their driving force as it is mine, means I haven't stopped travelling since. I've lived in several countries, including a short time in India, where I fell in love with its diverse cultures and perspectives on life that the people I met along my travels let me into. A writer and editor, my areas of focus for Lonely Planet are France and Mauritius.
