About Portia
I'm a freelance travel journalist, film and TV writer and I host my own travel podcast - Travel Goals. I'm based in Wales and I've explored the globe for over 20 years, getting into all sorts of mishaps along the way. I specialise in adventure travel, destination guides and city breaks. My work has appeared in Woman and Home, Culture Trip, Yahoo, the Independent and Bradt Guides and I'm a regular travel contributor for BBC Radio. My other huge passion is film and TV (especially sci-fi) and when I'm not writing or podcasting, I can be found hiking, swimming outdoors in icy waters, or drinking endless cups of coffee in hipster cafes.
