Louise George Kittaka

I’m a Kiwi based in Tokyo with a passion for chasing waterfalls and lingering over afternoon tea. After graduating with a degree in Japanese, I came to work “for a year” — and I’m still here. Following a stint in the U.S. for graduate school, I returned and have spent more than 20 years writing about people, places and culture. I’ve travelled extensively around the world, but I feel especially lucky to have two such beautiful countries — Japan and New Zealand — to call home.
