Cherise Fong

I travel solo by bicycle whenever and wherever possible, packing the essentials into a single bag, unfolding my bike from trains or ferries, and setting off on paths that traverse rural landscapes, contour lakes, follow rivers and coastlines, cross bridges, hop islands. I love being in motion, immersing myself in the environment with all five senses, making connections between cultural expressions, historical pilgrimage routes and natural topographies. Originally from San Francisco, I have lived in Paris, Monaco, London, Beijing, Hong Kong and New York, but my current home is Tokyo, Japan.
