View of the Federation Bells, an installation comprising of 39 upturned bells. Located in Birrarung Marr, Melbourne, they were created for celebrations of the centenary of Australia.

Created to celebrate the centenary of Australia’s federation in 2001, these 39 brass bells perch on the upper level of Birrarung Marr and ring out three times a day. Part sculpture and part instrument, they vary in size and shape and play specially commissioned compositions – on their website you can also compose your own music to be played on them too.
