Land
Bus
The small bus station (place Capdevieille) has services northwards to Pau (€7.40, 1¼ hours, four to six daily) and is a stop for buses running between Tarbes and Argelès-Gazost (at least eight daily), to the south and gateway to the Pyrenean communities of Cauterets, Luz-St-Sauveur and Gavarnie. SNCF buses to Cauterets (€6.40, one hour, at least five daily) leave from the train station.
Train
Many pilgrims arrive by rail and Lourdes is well connected by train to French cities including Bayonne (€18.90, 1¾ hours, up to four daily), Pau (€6.50, 30 minutes, 10-plus daily) and Toulouse (€22.20, 1¾ hours, six daily). There are four daily TGVs to Paris’ Gare Montparnasse (€91.80, six hours).
