There are trains every 20 minutes to London’s Liverpool St station (£26.80, 1¼ hours), twice hourly to Norwich (£10.90, 45 minutes) and Bury St Edmunds (£6, 30 to 40 minutes). There are bus services roughly every half-hour to Sudbury Monday to Saturday and less frequently on Sunday. Ipswich Buses (0800 919 390; www.ipswichbuses.co.uk) runs one-hour city sightseeing buses from April to August.
