Lonely Planet review
Five kilometres from the centre, this sprawling open-air museum has a dazzling 120 traditional dwellings, mills and churches brought from around the country and set among two small lakes and a tiny zoological garden. Many are signed in English, with maps showing where the structures came from. There’s also a nice gift shop and restaurant with creekside bench seats. Trolleybus 1 from the train station goes there (get off at the last stop and keep walking for under 1km, or take the hourly Răşinari tram for a couple of stops). Taxi here from the centre is about 12 lei.
