Myanmar Paradise Beach Bungalows

Tanintharyi Region

Fifteen different-sized bungalows positioned just behind an idyllic, mostly deserted beach. Bungalows are simple – fan only and basic bathrooms – but all come with terraces and hammocks. There's no wi-fi or phone signal (you can get one in the nearby village), but you can charge phones and tablets using solar power. There's an attached restaurant and nightly bonfires on the beach.

Paradise Beach is about two hours' drive south of Dawei on a road that gets progressively worse the further south you go. The last section is a twisting jungle track. Don't come here by motorbike unless you are a confident driver. A taxi from Dawei will cost K65.000.
