Lonely Planet review for Nyugati Train Station

The large iron and glass structure on Nyugati tér (known as Marx tér until the early 1990s) is the Nyugati train station, built in 1877 by the Paris-based Eiffel Company. In the early 1970s a train actually crashed through the enormous glass screen on the main facade when its brakes failed, coming to rest at the 4 and 6 tram line. The old dining hall on the south side now houses one of the world’s most elegant McDonald’s.

The Most Beautiful McDonald's in the Whole Wide World

    brotherwoo recommends this,

Been to this train station a few time and the only word of advice I have is this: Learn Hungarian before you attempt to book a reservation, because the clerks won't speak a lick of English! Or, you can do as we did and recruit an English-speaking student to help you out. And don't forget to snap some pictures of the Most Beautiful McDonald's in the World while you are there. You can check out the Budapest Mickey D's here:

    Very old school

If you are in the area it is definitely worth a look. Transports you back a little bit.
Doesn't require a lot of time. You can also check out the "high class" McDonald's next door and the West End Mall.
