Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY; 504-464-0831; www.flymsy.com; 900 Airline Hwy), 11 miles west of the city, handles primarily domestic flights.
The Union Passenger Terminal (504-299-1880; 1001 Loyola Ave) is home to Greyhound (504-524-7571, 800-231-2222; 5:15am-1pm & 2:30-6pm) which has regular buses to Baton Rouge ($17, two hours), Memphis, TN ($60, 11 hours) and Atlanta, GA ($83, 12 hours).
Amtrak (504-528-1610, 800-872-7245; ticketing 5:45am-10pm) trains also operate from the Union Passenger Terminal. City of New Orleans runs to Jackson, MS; Memphis, TN; and Chicago, IL. Crescent serves Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; Washington, DC; and New York City. Sunset Limited stops on its way between Los Angeles, CA and Miami, FL.
