Casanova Museum

Venice

Housed in the 15th-century palazzo of the Papafava family, who bought their way into the Venetian nobility in 1652, this museum offers insight into another social upstart – Casanova. Rooms offer detailed explanations of the 18th-century adventurer’s life alongside video simulations, and you can don 3D goggles and headphones to step into the virtual-reality world of the fascinating man.
