Paonta Sahib Gurdwara

Himachal Pradesh

The sprawling Paonta Sahib Gurdwara is set on the banks of the Yamuna River where, according to legend, Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh guru, dismounted from his horse on arrival in the princedom of Sirmaur. He later wrote the Dasam Granth Sikh holy text here.
