Plaza de San Mateo

From the Plaza de San Jorge, head up Calle Cuesta de la Compañía to the Plaza de San Mateo, the highest point of the Ciudad Monumental. Generally quieter than the lower squares, it too has some fine old buildings in the vicinity. Much of it spills over into neighbouring Plaza de las Veletas and Plaza de San Pablo.
