Blue Terrace

Top choice in South Jakarta

Counteract some of Jakarta's toxins at Blue Terrace, which crafts beautifully presented dishes for the health conscious. The menu is chock full of colourful salads and mains, all delicately arranged and many garnished with edible flowers. The seared yellow fin tuna with quinoa, beetroot, capsicum, roasted cherry tomato, quail egg and pesto dressing is simply divine.

The chicken with sautéed broccoli, goji berries and chilli and lemon seasoning is also excellent. Wash it down with layered smoothies that look too good to slurp, cold pressed juices and many varieties of tea. Healthy breakfasts include avo and eggs, and pineapple smoothie bowls. For dessert try the shaved ice, the dainty wagashi (Japanese confectionary) shapes or creamy balls of matcha ice cream.

The dining room has a natural and relaxing feel with bamboo walls and green plants hanging from the ceilings – it's tucked inside the lobby of the Ayana Midplaza Hotel.
