A fine testament to Witney’s wool-trade prosperity, the baroque Blanket Hall, built in 1721 to host the Witney Company of Blanket Weavers, dominates the genteel High St. It now holds a shop that sells a happy combination of blankets, pies and coffee, so it’s easy to wander in and take a look around.
