Arcaid Images has revealed the 20 shortlisted photographers for this year’s Arcaid Images Architectural Photography Awards.

The shortlisted photographs will be exhibited at the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in Berlin from 15 - 17 November, where visitors will be able to cast their vote for the overall winner, which will be announced during a Gala Dinner on Friday 17 November.

The competition is made up of four categories: Exterior, Buildings In Use, Interior, and Sense of Place, and aims to, “highlight the expertise of the specialist architectural photographer, translating the sophistication of architecture into a readable and understandable two dimensions, explaining and extolling the character, detail and environment of the project”.

The final selection includes images of a recently completed chapel in Ceres, Cape Town that resembles a giant stingray, a colourful office building in Beijing and a museum looking over a stunning mountain range in Italy.
