Coconut Guesthouse & Restaurant

This friendly Burmese- and French-run place is a 10-minute walk from Maungmagan beach and features 10 rooms and three bungalows set around a large garden. Rooms are simple and plain – the cheapest are fan only and have cold-water showers – but all are a reasonable size and there's a pleasant communal area. Motorbikes can be hired (K13,000 per day) and tickets booked.

The attached restaurant serves Burmese, Thai and a few Western dishes
