Guanyin Temple

Pahang & Tioman Island

This modern Chinese temple, dedicated to the Buddhist goddess of compassion Guanyin, is fronted by a fabulous ornamental gateway topped with dragons. On the steps ascending to the gateway is another astonishing looking and vividly painted coiling dragon, while the main hall across the courtyard at the top of the steps is also capped with a further pair of the mythical serpents, their eyes illuminated at night.
